VIETNAM MAMBO RETREAT 2023
Love dancing Mambo? Explore the beauty of Vietnam and immerse yourself in a unique culture while learning Salsa-on2 with world champions Almendra & Richie and with Madalyn Milazzo. Places limited to 16 students. Will you be one of them?

Take a break from your daily grind, dance your favourite style, learn from and hang with some of your favourite instructors, immerse yourself in a foreign culture, eat some incredible food and make friendships that will last a lifetime. Included:
- 7 nights of accommodation (twin-share, upgradable to no-share)
- 8-10 workshops (schedule to be confirmed) with world champions Almendra & Richie and with Madalyn Milazzo
- Daily tourist activities including an overnight cruise in picturesque Halong Bay; a night food tour; a visit to the night markets; a photography excursion to get you great photos of yourself in Vietnam; and a visit to one of Vietnam's many rooftop bars to view Vietnam from another angle.
- Some meals, with the group, including an excusion to a Michelin restaurant
- 5 or more local social dancing parties
- Self-directed free-time to explore Hanoi, buy some souvenirs and get a massage (for example)

You can also optionally stay another 3 days to attend the Vietnam Latin Xperience festival (6-8 October). When you book your retreat pass you will have the option to add the festival pass and to extend your accommodation for that weekend.

Come along solo, with a partner or with a group of friends
Singles, couples and friendship groups are welcome. If you're 18 years or older and can dance some Salsa-on2/Mambo, you're all good to go. You don't need to bring a partner nor do you need heaps of experience.

When
The retreat will officially start with dinner, and then social dancing at a local party, on Friday 29th September 2023.
Most days of the retreat will start with breakfast and two workshops, followed by tourist activities and/or free-time. Most evenings have opportunities to attend a local social dancing party (Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba is the rotation at most Hanoi parties).
One night of the retreat will be spent on an overnight cruise in Halong Bay.
The retreat will finish after breakfast on Friday 6th October 2023.
We have deliberately scheduled the dates that we have so that you have the option of also attending the Vietnam Latin Xperience festival (6-8 October). When you book your retreat pass you will have the option to add the festival pass and to extend your accommodation for that weekend.

Where
We'll be spending most of our time in Hanoi, Vietnam. We'll be based in the Tay Ho area.

About the organiser
Dance Culture Pty Ltd is directed by award-winning Latin school director, James Quinn-Hawtin (Facebook profile). James has an impeccable track record, dating back more than a decade, of organising successful Latin dance events.

No partner? No problem! You do not need to bring a partner. We are aiming for 8 leaders and 8 followers so that the partnered workshops will be as balanced as possible.

No prior experience in dance? This retreat assumes that you already know how to dance some Mambo / Salsa-on2. If you are in Brisbane and haven't danced before, we would love to welcome you to the Introduction to Latin Dancing course held in our air-conditioned dance studio in Annerley.

Exclusions:
- Flight to Hanoi (ideally arriving daytime Friday 29th September)
- Flight leaving Hanoi (leaving on or after Friday 6th October if only attending the retreat; leaving on or after Monday 9th October if also attending the festival)
- Transfer to/from the airport
- Local sim card (cheaply and easily purchased at airport)
- Any expenses incurred during free-time (e.g. going for a massage/manicure)
- Foreign exchange/bank fees incurred
- Vietnam Tourist eVisa (US$25)
Cancellation Policy: Once booked, enrolment in this retreat is non-refundable but we are happy to transfer it to another person.
