If you can walk you can dance!
It's fun, it's social and it'll get you moving! So try Latin dancing by coming to our relaxed, fun, in-person 4-week Introduction to Latin Dancing course.
Are you a bloke? Great! We want you! We do our best to keep the ratio of leaders (traditionally men) to followers (traditionally women) as even as possible. This means that in a class of 40 we do our best to enrol 20 leaders and 20 followers.
Why learn Salsa and Bachata?
Mainly because it's a great way to spend your time! Plus it's a lot more satisfying than Netflix marathons (although those are great, too).
You might not have noticed it before but Latin dancing is actually very popular in Brisbane with thousands of people attending classes and social dancing events every week. It attracts a very diverse group of individuals including university students, medical professionals, small business owners, school teachers, engineers, labourers, designers, business managers, accountants and dentists.
If you enjoy travelling, Salsa and Bachata open up a worldwide network of friends and opportunities. This course will take you from "two left feet" to being able to understand and dance the basics of Australia's most popular Latin dance styles anywhere in the world.

Dance partner not needed!
You do not need to bring a dance partner because we rotate partners during class. Singles and couples are welcome. Ages 13+ welcome. Our youngest student is 14 years old and our oldest is about 75. Most of our students are around 18 to 40 years old. Some people bravely come to this course by themselves (#respect). Some bring their Significant Other. Some come with a group of friends or workmates.
How many people will be in the class?
You will typically find approximately 30 or 40 students per class depending on which room of our studio we use. Lately, we are introducing to Latin dance approximately 100 "not yet dancers" every month and the courses have been selling out in advance.
What to bring & wear?
Bring a bottle of water and wear some comfortable clothes (t-shirt, jeans/leggings and sneakers are fine).

Enrol now
This course often sells out because we cap the enrolments to ensure the best possible experience for attendees. Enrol now for only $89 per person.
This includes four hours of instruction, by the end of which you will be able to dance the basics of two of the most popular Latin dance styles in the world and be invited to continue learning in Level 2.
You are also welcome to repeat this course should you not feel ready to move on to Level 2 or should you miss any part of the course.
No partner? No problem! While you will be learning how to dance with another human you do not need to bring a dance partner. Instead we will rotate partners frequently during the class.
Don't want to change partner? Sometimes couples only want to dance with one another. This is understandable but we have found, after many years of running this course, that this typically leads to the formation of bad habits and frustration for the couple. We won't force you to change partners but we do recommend rotating and making new friends when asked to "high five and change partner". Generally speaking, booking a private lesson is a better option for couples who only want to dance with one another.
No prior experience in dance? Well, that's definitely not a problem because this course is designed precisely for the typical human who has "two left feet".
You want to enrol but your Significant Other doesn't want to? We actually hear this a lot. Quite a number of our regular students come to Latin dancing as something to do for themselves while their husband, wife, girlfriend or boyfriend does his/her own thing. Your instructor, James, has a great deal of respect for those brave enough to attend solo.
What does the course cost? This 4-week (4 classes) course is AU$89 per person total. The full enrolment is due before the start of the course. We offer a 100% money-back guarantee if you don't enjoy the first class and don't want to continue (you must tell us within 2 days).
Can I just try one class first? Sorry, this course typically sells out, which means that all spots are taken by full-fee paying students. Instead, we offer a full money-back guarantee: if you don't enjoy the first class and don't want to continue, please contact us within 2 days and request a refund.
Money-back Guarantee: If you don't love your first class and don't want to continue, let us know within 2 days and we will refund 100% of your enrolment. Please note that each enrolment occupies a spot in a limited class size so we cannot process refunds for no-shows.
Cancellation Policy: As this course typically sells out (and we thereafter have to turn away enrolments), we cannot refund enrolments within 2 days of the course start. If you cannot join your course due to a change in circumstances, please email us before the course starts and we will be happy to move your enrolment to a later course. Please note that moving an enrolment for free is limited to one time only and thereafter will be $22 per postponement.
